WE’RE SO MUCH MORE!!

We are unique. The CCBA is not just one band. We are a collection of different ensembles that are as varied and diverse as our membership! Others have tried to mimic us but none can duplicate our high standards

We are:

· A semi-professional “community” musical organization we welcome all GLBTS musicians, music lovers and their friends to join us for “Serious Music” accompanied with "Serious Fun!”.

· Although we’re made up of Musicians from the Metro area, we also have members from Boulder, Greeley, Colorado Springs and beyond!

· Whether you want to develop your musicianship, socialize with other GLBTS musicians or your simply a music lover, “You Have A Place With US!”

· Through our “No Barriers” commitment we strive to make joining and participating as painless and easy as possible. No one is turned away and we work hard to find everyone “a place with us!”

· To the CCBA, “Diversity through Inclusion” means including band, orchestral and any other ensembles that the membership is interested in so that beginners will feel welcomed and accomplished players can be challenged. Whether you’re a violinist, a trombone player or a guitarist, “You Have A Place With Us!”

· Our “Share the Music” program was set up so we could ensure that our efforts and resources would be channeled so everyone can participate, contribute and benefit from the group; plus, every performance benefits the community in one way or another.

· Joining is an “audition-less” easy un-intimidating process. We’ll help you find “a place with us!” If you’re a professional musician, we’ll challenge you! If you’re a beginner, we’ll help you get started!

The Colorado Community Band Association (CCBA) provides an artistic and social outlet for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Straight musicians, music lovers and their friends. By creating dynamic ensemble settings to accommodate varied proficiency levels, we offer positive social opportunities through rehearsals, professional level performances and concerts while offering opportunities as well as development of musicianship and leadership.
